Pat Condell speaks wise words (again)
Posted on July 29th, 2011 at 19:05.
Maybe you have crossed his videos before on Youtube or LiveLeak but if not I like to introduce you to Pat Condell, a very well spoken freethinker who is not afraid of speaking out against the idiocy and danger of religion, any religion. He is, as I like to call myself, a practising atheist, only he is much better with words then I am. Check out more from Pat Condel at PatCondell.net

War On Terror Phase 2
Posted on July 26th, 2011 at 20:12.
In the first phase of the war on terror, started on 9/11/2001, it was apparently an external enemy that we faced, the muslims. Now we are supposed to look inside our own society and fear each dissent voice. That's the plan. We will see a new wave of security measures and legislation, further intruding on personal rights. Besides that, political correctness will return like never before and people who don't comply to general assumptions will be under investigation. Educate yourself, this is important.

Yet another social media
Posted on July 17th, 2011 at 20:44.

After being kicked off Facebook, and Twitter, members of the group Anonymous are now thrown off Goggole+. So the group decided to create their own social platform: Anonplus. Currently it says alpha 0.1 buts it's apparently nothing more than a Zetaboards forum. So it is still early day.

An Anonymous spokeperson said: "This is one social network that will not tolerate being shut down, censored, or oppressed - even in the face of blackout. We the people have had enough…enough of governments and corporations saying what's best for us - what's safe for our minds. The sheep era is over. The interwebz are no longer your prison."

Stranger than fiction: Astana
Posted on June 8th, 2011 at 18:18.

If I say Kazakhstan, you would probably think Borat. And if I'd say Astana you might think of a cycling team. But you wouldn't think about a futuristic city, wouldn't you? Still that's what the newly build capital Astana is, the megalomaniac dictator Nursultan Nazarbayev's vision of a 21th century city.

Build with vast amounts of money from the oil and uranium export, this "new" city is filled to the brim with masonic symbols. Even a rational person as myself has to scratch his head as to what's up with this?

First thing you spot is of course the pyramid, classic symbol of sun worship that we know from ancient Egypt and Meso-America. Here it's named "Palace of Peace and Reconciliation" and it functions, besides as an opera, as a center for bringing together the world's religion. The second one is the Bayterek, a monument that represents the Tree of Life, known from various religions/mythologies. And no, this information isn't from some crazy conspiracy site, it's right of Wikipedia.

And we have a liftoff!
Posted on June 2nd, 2011 at 15:48.

First off, welcome to my personal website. My name is Tom Vermost, a web developer and I finally got around making a website for myself.

Because this is pure for fun, this website was created as a sort of experiment in website design. Instead of the classic vertical layout of most sites/blogs, I have chosen for a fixed horizontal design with lost of javascript to rearrange and focus on different content.

This site was build in PHP with the use of the CodeIgniter framework, jQuery and CSS3. In the back there is a simple MySQL database. For the near future I would like to finish the admin panel and add some nice jQuery UI stuff to replace the static pages.
