After being kicked off Facebook, and Twitter, members of the group Anonymous are now thrown off Goggole+. So the group decided to create their own social platform: Anonplus. Currently it says alpha 0.1 buts it's apparently nothing more than a Zetaboards forum. So it is still early day.
An Anonymous spokeperson said: "This is one social network that will not tolerate being shut down, censored, or oppressed - even in the face of blackout. We the people have had enough…enough of governments and corporations saying what's best for us - what's safe for our minds. The sheep era is over. The interwebz are no longer your prison."
If I say Kazakhstan, you would probably think Borat. And if I'd say Astana you might think of a cycling team. But you wouldn't think about a futuristic city, wouldn't you? Still that's what the newly build capital Astana is, the megalomaniac dictator Nursultan Nazarbayev's vision of a 21th century city.
Build with vast amounts of money from the oil and uranium export, this "new" city is filled to the brim with masonic symbols. Even a rational person as myself has to scratch his head as to what's up with this?
First thing you spot is of course the pyramid, classic symbol of sun worship that we know from ancient Egypt and Meso-America. Here it's named "Palace of Peace and Reconciliation" and it functions, besides as an opera, as a center for bringing together the world's religion. The second one is the Bayterek, a monument that represents the Tree of Life, known from various religions/mythologies. And no, this information isn't from some crazy conspiracy site, it's right of Wikipedia.
First off, welcome to my personal website. My name is Tom Vermost, a web developer and I finally got around making a website for myself.
Because this is pure for fun, this website was created as a sort of experiment in website design. Instead of the classic vertical layout of most sites/blogs, I have chosen for a fixed horizontal design with lost of javascript to rearrange and focus on different content.
This site was build in PHP with the use of the CodeIgniter framework, jQuery and CSS3. In the back there is a simple MySQL database. For the near future I would like to finish the admin panel and add some nice jQuery UI stuff to replace the static pages.
Tom Vermost is my name, 38 years old and web developer with no-nonsense attitude, a broad experience in ICT and good language skills. I am currently employed by NTCP8 where I work as a web developer.

One of the special mini-sites I made while working at Think Media that I remembered making screenshots of :) First edition of the Digitale100, a yearly online election of the most sexy game babe. Each of the 100 contestants had a personal profile and could be rated with a score between 1 and 100. The election was a huge success and Ruby Malone won. Next editions of the Digitale100 are hosted on 4gamers.be, an online game community in which Think Media is a partner.
Period: 2009 - 2010

Located in Paradise, California, this internet radio station is quite unique: it's listener-supported. With no radio ads this station earns it's money with contributions of listeners who appreciate the fantastic music and the great variety of music styles that gets played on RP. A great companion during long coding sessions!

For an aspiring web developer PHP.net is a great resource with plenty of information on the popular open-source scripting language. The contributions of fellow developers to the documentation makes it even more interesting.
